Boudoir Still-lifes

These paintings, completed with acrylic on canvas paper, pose the question, β€œcan you make a still-life feel like a boudoir painting?” In other words, is there a way to encode objects with the same meaning and eroticism as a nude portrait of the owner of the objects? Like so many Dutch still-life painters before me, I dive deep in my visual analysis of each object and draw out a spark of inner beauty that goes beyond its everyday functionality. I select each object meticulously based on their meaning to the owner and their relationships to each other, and the potential narratives that could be derived from their array.
